THE MALECON OF VERACRUZ
The Malecon of the Port of Veracruz is one of the most emblematic sites not only for its design, architecture and commercial and maritime importance, but also for the history that it keeps over time. It is currently the meeting point of locals and tourists who enjoy the landscape, art, cuisine and all the things that this place could offers.
The Carranza lighthouse building was made to keep the lighthouse of Veracruz, it was located in Juarez and Lander & coss street.but then it was used to keep the navy army. The president's statue of Venustiano Carranza was located in front of the Carranza lighthouse. Nowadays, the building is the navy headquarters, the lighthouse was removed because of its light, which was directly pointing at "Banco De México" building.
The PEMEX Tower was built in 1952, it is the main office in Veracruz for the mexican company PEMEX, it was designed by Carlos Barreiro, originally it was supposed as the office of El Banco de México. Today is one of the most important buildings in Veracruz.
